Dear bread friends,
Today is a very special and exciting day, one that I have been anticipating for a long time:
Such Good Bread, my new cookbook is in print!
As youβll know if youβve been reading my newsletter and watching my videos for some time, this moment has been long awaited, longer than planned. To say that 2023 has been a challenging year for me would be an understatement. It has been really, really hard, probably the most difficult year my family and I have ever encountered: cancer (my dad), surgeries (my dad, and me), broken bones (me), moving house (my dad, adn me)β¦ just to name a few.
But through it all, the book has been there, a little light, a little joy, waiting for me to get my thoughts together to be able complete the next task until it was finished. And now it is finally complete and it has become even more beautiful than I could have anticipated. I am really proud of what I have created. But it is not only me who has been involved in this process β so many people have played an important role in creating what I think of as my bread-thesis, my love letter to bread.
The last month has been spent finalising the book, making sure every small detail is just as it should be. It has been a big job! There have been lots of βfinal editsβ and βfinal final editsβ and βfinal final FINAL editsβ.
I feel honoured to be able to create this book and share it with such a lovely audience. My hope is that Such Good Bread will help you to bake your perfect loaf: a loaf that fits into your life, that brings you joy, thatβs easy and fun to make, that you feel proud of.
It is being printed by Gutenberg Beuys in Hannover, and the copies are scheduled to arrive in Berlin on December 12th, where they will be sent out shortly after.
If you missed out on getting a copy through my Kickstarter campaign, you can now order one via Indiegogo. Thereβs also an ebook option which will be sent via email at the same time that the print books are shipped.Β
Oh my gosh Iβm just so very excited to share the book with you!!
I think, feel and hope that this marks the beginning of a more positive chapter, one in which Iβll be able to bake more and share more of my bread joys with you.
Thank you so much for being part of my little bread community.
Yours,
Mary Grace
PS.
I have lots of recipes coming to share with you! Iβm so happy that now that my life has settled a little, and the book is in print, Iβll have more time to make even more breadβ¦ and share it with you! <3
Great news, the day we have all waited for! Now, you can settle into married life and enjoy the fruits of your labor. I know βSuch Good Breadβ will be a great success. Happy Baking and all other thingsβ€οΈ
Mary Grace where are you??? Has the baby come? I know you're super busy if that's the case but I miss you. Hope you'll be back soon. Hugs and prayers!
